Visite guidée de Narbonne

Narbonne has got the label " City of Art and History" on november 2006 ;This explains the importance of its architecture and history . In the past , it was the principal city in the Narbonnaise's province.

Now it's a beautiful city with its gothic cathedral, canal de la Robine, Archbishop's Palace, Archeologic museum, the Horreum , and the small market town on the left's bank.

It's architectural patrimony is very wealthy and you can see in the old town:
The Archbischop' s Palace : The Gilles Aycelin's keep, the Martial's tower, the passage of the anckor, the inside courtyards ,archaeological museum and art museum.

Saint-Just and Saint -Pasteur Cathedral

It was built in the 13 th century .From the cloister, we can see the building's facade, then,we can notice that this cathedral is unfinisched , . Only its choir exists...

Some remains of the antique city

Via Domitia This antique road was built in 120BC. It joined Italy to Spain .Some remains were discovered in 1997 .

The Horreum : This is the only remaining building from the Roman era in the city centre.It was used to store goods in the underground galleries .

Forum's square .It was the antique city heart .

-Following the street Merchants's bridge , we'll take the direction of the town market .It was separated by the Robine.'s channel. The covered market ,Saint Paul's Basilica, church, Notre Dame de Lamourguier, the fourth fountains square, ,the three nurses's house...

It's necessary to take at the least three hours to visit Narbonne .
