Day 1 Arrival Day - Narbonne

In the morning, meet your private driver and guide on arrival at the train station of Narbonne. Other stations or Airport on request.

Drive to the old city and enjoy a guided tour of the covered market with some local products tasting and have lunch in or near the market.

In the afternoon, experience a private cruise on the Canal de Midi, seeing the locks of Fonseranes, a kind of lock-staircase dating back to 1681. Then, visit a winery.

Drive and accommodation in your hotel.

Departure from your hotel and drive to St Martin du Canigou, an abbey located on the top of the Canigou Mountain, the symbol of the region. This religious area was a path for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela.
Walk up to the abbey as pilgrims used to do, discovering a fantastic landscape and views. (Depending on ability, walk may vary from 20 minutes to one hour as the path is 1600m long with an ascent of about 300m).
If you don’t wish to walk, a special 4-wheel vehicle will drive you up to the abbey.
Enjoy a tailor-made visit lead by a brother or sister of the Abbey of the Romanesque abbey.

Have lunch in a restaurant in Villefranche de Conflent or nearby.

In the afternoon, walk into this fortified place by Vauban and discover arts and crafts, and then drive to St Michel de Cuxa, one of the oldest Romanesque abbeys
In Catalonia, Saint-Michel de Cuxa is an extraordinary monument, encompassing the transition from pre-Romanesque to Romanesque art in the space of one generation. From afar you can admire the beautiful 11th century bell tower with its four levels.

Day 3 Arts and Crafts: Ceret-Arles sur Tech - St Laurent de Cerdans

Departure from your hotel and drive along the Tech valley in the Pyrenees to reach St Laurent de Cerdans. This village holds the last workshop where traditional shoes such as Espadrilles are still hand-made.

Stop at Arles sur Tech to visit the village of craftsmen and artists, located in a former weaving factory. Painters, cutler, ceramist and stained-glass artists, will welcome you in their ateliers.
Free lunch.

In the afternoon, visit of the lively town of Céret. For almost 100 years, Céret has been a living example of Art from as early as 1911, having welcomed some of the greatest artists of the 20th century such as Picasso, Braques, Gris, Herbin, Masson, Soutine and Chagall, amongst others.
Today, thanks in part to Modern art Museum and its involvement in contemporary creativity, art still lives on in Céret.

Other activities in Ceret on request: hiking, paraglider, canyoning, mountain activities.

Drive back to your hotel.

In the morning, drive to Perpignan and exclusive visit of the old city punctuated by two tastings of local sweet specialties.
 
Drive to the bay of Paulille. Discover the local vineyards during a Canoe tour or on a stand-up-paddle boarding. Wine tasting and lunch in the restaurant facing the sea.
 
Drive to Collioure and visit of the port and of local food shops: discover anchovies, Croquant with almonds, olive oil…

Drive back to your hotel.
