Day 1 Perpignan – Salses

In the morning, visit Perpignan, the French Catalonia capital. In St John’s cathedral, observe the baroque altarpieces.
Discover the Castillet (only from outside) and the royal palace of the Majorca Kings. Walking quietly in the medieval streets, see the Sea Lodge, the town hall and the sculptures of Aristide Maillol.

Traditional lunch in the city centre of Perpignan.

In the afternoon, visit the Salses castle, an old fortress that used to be the lock gate over the ancient frontier between the kingdoms of France and Spain.
On the way back, a stop in Leucate, at the edge of the salt pond, there your guide will let you know more about the oyster grow up and production. Taste some local oysters (not included, contact us).

Accommodation in your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Perpignan.

Leave Perpignan to reach the Tet valley toward Villefranche de Conflent. Visit the fortified town built by Vauban.
Take the yellow touristic train: the Tweety, to cross the Cerdagne territory and climb up to Mont Louis.

Lunch in Mont Louis, and then, visit this other fortified place designed by Vauban.

Here is the famous prisoner’s wheel; later enjoy a short free time.
Return in bus to Perpignan.

Day 3 Port Vendres – Collioure

The morning, leave your hotel to reach Port Vendres, driving along the coast. Port Vendres is a fishermen and cruise arrival port at the bottom of the Alberes mountains. A little boat tour will lead you to Collioure.
During the travel in boat have a nice view over the coast, the Alberes mountains and the ancient curtain walls.
Guided visit of Collioure, Notre Dame church and the castle that offers you a beautiful panoramic view over the region.

Have a good lunch in the port of Collioure.

In the afternoon, let you drive along the « Vermeille Coast » to enjoy a panoramic tour in Banyuls.
Just after, make a stop for a wine tasting and have a short free time before coming back to your hotel in Perpignan.

In the morning, leave the hotel to go and visit Castelnou a medieval village, and then visit the Byrrh winery.
