Lozère is still famous for being a wild and natural French region. During this 4 days tour, pass over the famous viaduct of Millau built by sir Norman Foster, but not only.
Known for being a region of shepherds and organic products, you may discover a Host farm or the Lozère “Versailles Palace”.
As wolves used to be symbolic animals of this region, let us tell you the most terrible legend of The Gevaudan Beast!

Day 1 Millau and Marvejols

Travel to Millau in the late morning and enjoy a lunch in the city cneter with a view over the famous viaduct. Then cross the Viaduct.
Make a stop on the road to Marvejols, the royal city located in the Gevaudan region that was built a second time on the command of king Henri 4th.
Walking guided tour through the narrow streets and the church...

Dinner and night in Marvejols town.

Drive toward the charming village of La Canourgue. Walking guided tour in the typical village. Then, head to a typical Lozere farm from the 18th which still presents sober and rural settings.
Meet the local owners who will explain you the management of a traditional farm with their farm animals: poultry, ewes and sheep, cows, rabbits and donkeys.

Enjoy a local lunch in the Farm.

In the afternoon, feel the Call of the Wild and reach the Gevaudan Wolves park.
Visit this fantastic place with the park team, following the animals steps. Approximately, 115 wolves from all over the world and different species are currently living in this park, mostly from Poland, Canada and Arctic region… During the late afternoon, you may even assist to the wolves feeding.

After all these emotions, drive back to Marvejols for the dinner and the night.

Day 3 The Baume Castle

Visit the La Baume Castle, the so-called “Gevaudan’s Versailles palace”.
There, you will discover a wonderful housing where the rustic style from the early 17th century and the more sophisticated 18th century are mixed both together.
Drive back to your accommodation place.

Free time afternoon.

Dinner and night.

In the morning, drive toward Mende, the main city of Lozere. Visit on a tourist train that will lead you through the city streets.
On the tourist train, take time to enjoy a slow stroll and to discover the city, the landscape and the Lot riversides. Lunch in the city centre of Mende.
