Day 1 Beziers and the Canal du Midi

Guided tour in Beziers city center (cathedral, medieval streets, Paul Riquet walk…).

Lunch in Beziers center or surrounds.Afternoon come aboard a barge at the 7 locks at Fonseranes site.
Enjoy a cruise on the Canal: pass through the locks and sail until Malpas tunnel, the 1st one built for a Canal.
Then drive to Enserunes, a Celtic village and discover the view over the Montady dried pool and the beautiful landscape of Beziers region.

Accommodation and dinner in Beziers city center.

In the morning drive along the Canal du Midi through the Minervois region toward Carcassonne, fortified city protected by UNESCO.

Guided tour of the medieval city then taste the local Cassoulet for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit to Minerve to discover this beautiful medieval village and streets, its canyons and natural bridges. On the way back, stop at an olive oil factory for a tasting.

Day2 Carcassonne

Day 3 A gourmet day Sete

Gourmet day! First drive toward Sete. Panoramic visit of the city and drive up to Mont St Clair top. View over the city, the Mediterranean Sea and the Thau Lagoon.

Then visit the famous covered market before having lunch in the city centre.

In the afternoon, sail over the lagoon to know better the oyster’s farming. Before you leave Thau Lagoon, taste and enjoy some Muscat wine.

Overnight in Beziers.

In the morning, drive to Pezenas, famous town where Moliere lived. Guided tour of the town also known for its beautiful private mansions courtyards. Enjoy some free time to discover the arts and crafts shops.

Lunch in Aniane.

Visit St Guilhem-le-Desert village and Gellone abbey.
Enjoy a wine cellar visit and a wine tasting on the way back to Beziers.
